Film Screening + Discussion
The VCU Health Sciences Library will host a screening of the film Vaccination: From the Misinformation Virus followed by a discussion, led by M.P.H. student Deborah Karp-Leiss.
In today's social media era, misinformation can easily mislead in many ways. Vaccination from the Misinformation Virus sheds light on how to overcome biases to understand why vaccines are safe, essential for community health, and save millions of lives each year. The program highlights how viruses spread, how they are contained, and the history of vaccine development. It also explains how vaccines work and explores their potential future applications.
The event is free and open to the public, registration is required.

Revive! Training
VCU MPH Alum Madelena Eifert will lead an opioid overdose and naloxone training program. Participants will learn the signs of an overdose as well as ways one can respond.

YWCA Donation Drive
YWCA Richmond is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Join us in supporting their cause during National Public Health Week.
Items needed:
- Diapers, pull ups, baby wipes
- Visa gift cards
- Kid-friendly snacks (individually packaged; goldfish, fruit snacks, granola bars, chips)
- Body lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant
- Paper towels, tissues
- Laundry detergent, dish soap
- Canvas or reusable shopping bags
Donation Box Locations:
- Outside of Room 644 (6th floor)
- 9th floor front desk
Donations will be accepted through April 11th.
